PQS Japan
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information PQS JAPAN CO LTD ("PQS Japan", "we") collects through this website, what we do with it, and the choices you have. We have kept it short and in plain language, because a policy only protects you if you can actually understand it.
1. What "personal information" means
When we say "personal information", we mean anything that can identify you as a living individual — your name, your contact details, your address, or any combination of details that points to you specifically. This is the same meaning the term has under Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information.
2. What we collect, and how
Almost everything we hold, you gave us yourself:
- What you type into our contact form — your name, company or department, telephone number, email address, your message, and any file you attach
- What you share when you reach us by email, phone, or WhatsApp
- The records that build up naturally when we do business together, such as quotations, invoices, and shipping documents
We do not buy data about you from anyone, and we do not collect more than we need to respond to you and do the work you ask of us.
3. What we use it for
We use your information to:
- Reply to your inquiry and send the quotations or documents you asked for
- Arrange the purchase, inspection, shipping, and export paperwork for vehicles you order
- Contact you when something about your order needs a decision or an update
- Refuse service where we find fraud, impersonation, or misuse of this website
That is the whole list. We do not use your details for anything unrelated to these purposes.
4. Cookies
This website works without asking you to log in, and its use of cookies — small files your browser stores — is kept to a minimum: helping pages function and showing us, in aggregate, how the site is used.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings whenever you like. The site will still work without them; at most, a few conveniences may stop functioning.
5. When we share information with others
Exporting a vehicle involves other companies, so some sharing is unavoidable — but it follows one rule: only what is needed, only to whoever needs it to do the job. In practice that means:
- Shipping lines, inspection agencies, and customs brokers receive the details required to move your vehicle
- Authorities receive information when the law obliges us to provide it
- Where sharing is genuinely necessary to protect someone's life, safety, or property, protection comes first
We never sell your information, and we never hand it to third parties for their advertising or marketing.
6. Seeing what we hold about you
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, and we will tell you without unreasonable delay. The rare exceptions are cases where disclosure would harm someone else's rights or safety, seriously disrupt our operations, or break the law — and if we ever refuse, we will tell you why.
7. Correcting or deleting your information
If something we hold about you is wrong or out of date, tell us. We will check, correct or delete it, and let you know once it is done.
8. Asking us to stop using your information
If you believe we are using your information beyond the purposes listed above, or that we obtained it improperly, you can ask us to stop using it or to erase it. We will look into it promptly and act on what we find. Where full erasure is genuinely impracticable, we will take equivalent steps to protect your rights instead.
9. Changes to this policy
As our services or the law change, this policy may change with them. The version published on this page is always the current one, and it applies from the moment it appears here.
10. How to reach us
